Joyce completed her training with Body Control Pilates in 1999, and is a member of the Body Control Pilates association, widely seen as a quality standard for Pilates teaching.  Joyce was one of the first Pilates teachers in Bristol, and constantly seeks to develop her professional standards with regular Professional Development.

In 2010 she also qualified as a level 4 advanced teacher, specialising in lower back pain with the “Back4good” training, run by Body Control Pilates.  She also has further training in Pilates for Osteoporosis, Pilates for Pregnancy / Post Natal, Standing Pilates, and Pilates with small equipment.

Her teaching style is relaxed and approachable, while paying attention to the precision that is the Pilates Method.
Joyce feels that exercise should be enjoyable and strives to help her clients feel confident and comfortable, as well as challenged.

Gary’s style of teaching is based on the anatomical detail of Iyengar’s style, the flow of Ashtanga Vinyasa, the mindfulness of Buddhist meditation, and traditional pranayama (breathing exercises).

Gary has been teaching since 2002 and has practised yoga and meditation since 1995. After more than seven years of study and practice in both yoga and Buddhism, in India and other countries with various teachers, he became qualified to teach yoga after completing a one-year yoga teacher-training course at Yoga Arts, in Byron Bay, Australia, in 2002 (Yoga Alliance [500 Hours] recognised course).
