Course Fees

The total course fee is £3045

You can choose from the following payment options:

1. Lump Sum Payment

• Early Bird Discount – £2,845: Save £200 by paying the full balance 2 months in advance of the course starting.This totals £2,400 after your £445 deposit has been paid.

• Advance Payment Discount – £2945: Save £100 if full payment is made by the start of the course.This totals £2,500 after your £445 deposit has been paid.

2. Standing Order

After your deposit £445 has been paid: Pay in 8 monthly instalments of £325, starting the 1st of each month starting March (February intake) or October (September intake).

Please note: No discount is available with this option. The total fee remains £3045.

The course fee includes all tuition and exam fees; practical manuals; MTI Anatomy,

Physiology & Pathology textbook; on-going student support and supervision

throughout the course.

Our aim is to lay a strong foundation in the principles and practice of holistic massage, to a high professional standard. We also aim to have fun!

Students will be empowered with strategies for exploring their fascination with the human body. By investigating the 4 principles of awareness, touch, rapport and movement, we can make discoveries and develop our own massage style.

This living, vibrant style of massage practice and theory will include:

Detailed massage techniques for the whole body - including:

In great detail, with muscles and bones including deep focused work

Working with joints using mobilisations and gentle passive stretching

How to work with skin and superficial fascia

Massage for respiration

Massage for digestion

Developing a client centred approach including

consultation skills.

Practice Management and the foundations of self employed business skills.

Professionalism including safe working, therapist boundaries and understanding consent.

Subtle energy, including the aura and chakras

ethics and first aid

Other features special to this course are:

Grounding, meditation and self-awareness work

Exploring issues of consent, roles of giver and receiver

Students’ personal development throughout the course

Emphasis on students’ own body use, enabling us to develop safe, dynamic and rhythmical expression at the massage table

Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology taught in a practical, hands-on way that is closely related to massage practice

Three sessions of supervised clinical experience

Appointed Person’s Course in First Aid

Close supervision and support throughout the course

Maximum group size is 26 with two assistants alongside the Course Tutor

Our professional courses encourage a whole person approach to massage.

In this context, there are 3 aspects of wholeness:

Looking at the whole client recognising that massage touches not just the physical body but also mental attitudes and emotions

Having a whole range of relevant techniques from the massage tradition involved. From these a skilled and informed selection can be made to suit the client’s needs at the time

Including the whole practitioner with their experience, presence and awareness. Hence the training process is a personal development for the student, practitioner and teacher alike

The course comprises 27 training days organised in eleven weekend workshops spread over eleven months. The course is held in Bristol.

During the workshops, students work with one another. Most of the massage work will use oils and be on a table although other treatment possibilities, such as through clothing or in a chair, will also be explored.

Students should anticipate at least 8-10 hours per week for study and practice whilst the course is in progress.

Students will be required to keep a diary of 50 hours of massage practice (including 10 hours received) throughout the course. This will include the study of a client group specified by the student. There will also be a journal of personal reflections, including notes on homework exercises.

3 hour written Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology examination

This course leads to the Level 4 Holistic Massage Diploma from the Massage Training Institute (MTI), a national organisation of well-established schools and tutors.

Cancellation Policy

1. If we have incorrectly described a Workshop, you may have a legal right to end the contract between us (or we may place you onto an alternative Workshop that satisfies your requirements).

2. If you change your mind and want to cancel a Workshop more than 14 days before a Workshop is due to start, we will offer you a full refund less any fees we have been charged by the card payment company for processing the booking. This is usually 3.98% of the ticket price paid plus £0.40.

3. If you change your mind and want to cancel a Workshop within 7 to 14 days before a Workshop is due to start then provided we can refill your space, we will offer you a full refund less any fees we have been charged by the card payment company for processing the booking. This is usually 3.98% of the ticket price paid plus £0.40. If we cannot refill your space you will not be entitled to any refund.

4. No refund is offered for cancellations received by us within 7 days of when a Workshop is due to start or for any no shows on the day.

The giving and receiving of nurturing touch is a fundamental human need. Holistic massage draws techniques from many traditions, combining them with natural sensitivity to meet the needs of each individual as a whole.

Physically, this can relax tight muscles and improve circulation, nervous function and joint mobility. This increases the body’s fluidity and can ease many short and long term ailments such as back pain, arthritis and insomnia.

At an emotional level, massage can provide the caring, non-intrusive touch we have longed for. This soothes the busy mind, reduces stress and makes us feel loved again. At a deeper level, massage can release the personal history we have stored in our body tissues. This can lead to powerful changes in our energy and provide a vital alchemical ingredient in each person’s process of growth.
